Ellen Brandson
Ellen's paintings are about the interactions of colour, texture and line - expressed in abstract form and are emotional responses to the world around me.
Mark Hird-Rutter
Mark enjoys creating pencil portraits and using digital media. His career in Geomatics influences his art. He is always trying to break free of the chains of precise measurement and draughting and move towards abstract.
Kay Hogberg
Kay works in acrylic and
watercolour. She is presently experimenting with alcohol inks and finding them to be wonderfully wild and colourful; two qualities she embraces in her art. The more she learns , the more she realizes how much there is to learn.
Heather Jane Kent
Heather works in watercolour, acrylic and assemblages. Her career in theatre and puppetry influences her work, using visual narratives to tell a story.
Rohana Laing
Rohana enjoys painting in her home studio, drawing outdoors, and traveling. She moved to Chemainus from Gabriola Island in 2017 spending summers on the island and winters in Mexico, where she draws with the 'urban sketcher', paints and exhibits.
Astrid Notte
Astrid is a Vancouver Island artist, painting in acrylics, pastels and mixed media with a special focus on British Columbia west coast landscapes and trees.
